Bangalore West Lions Super Speciality Eye Hospital at # 5, Lions Eye Hospital Road, Off J C Road, is a landmark institute in Eye Care in Karnataka State. This Hospital, a project of Lions Club of Bangalore West Trust, established in the year 1984, is a wholly charitable institution registered under section 12 A of IT Act and FCRA Act enjoying recognition under section 80 G of IT Act. Our Hospital has completed 40 years of yeomen service to the people of Karnataka.
Our Hospital is recognized by Government of Karnataka, Rajiv Gandhi University for Health Sciences. We are duly certified to receive funds from DBCS Govt of Karnataka. Our Institution has Satellite Hospital at Kollegal and Vision centers at Doddaballapura, Devanahalli, Dommasandra and Chintamani. We have collaborated with the State and Central Governments schemes in the implementation of various National Blindness Prevention Programs.
LIONS INTERNATIONAL EYE BANK
The Lions International Eye Bank, A Unit of Bangalore West Lions Super Speciality Eye Hospital was established on 30th June 1984 to eliminate corneal blindness. Our Lions International Eye Bank is India’s 2nd best Eye Bank as per Eye Bank Association of India.
BANGALORE WEST LIONS SHRI VIDYASAGAR OSWAL INSTITUTE OF OPHTHALMOLOGY
- Recognizing our devoted and dedicated services to the people of Karnataka without any expectations.
- Govt of Karnataka have allotted CA Site measuring 10,000 sqft through BDA at a vantage location in the fast-developing suburb of JP Nagar at Bangalore City.
- The Board of Trustees established “Bangalore West Lions Shri Vidyasagar Oswal Institute of Ophthalmology:” for Training Eye Care professionals, Diabetic Retinopathy Screening, Low Vision Screening and Rehabilitation in the year 2018.
- Lions Clubs International Foundation have granted a sum of 690 lakhs for this project and we raised 610 lakhs taking the project cost to 1,300 lakhs.
- This is a unique project in Karnataka and will meet many challenges of Eye Care and the institute has 34,000 sqft built up Area.
